Gabrielle “Gigi” Sciotti

I am a retired Court Reporter with the NYS Office of Court Administration. Since the job required long hours of sitting and only my fingers getting a workout, I appreciated early on the importance of incorporating exercise into my daily routine. I exercised regularly but at the age of 48 decided to up my game and began competing in Triathlons at the encouragement of a friend.

After only five weeks of training, I completed my first sprint level triathlon and was hooked. Since that time I have completed several spring level triathlons, three half iron triathlons, numerous 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and marathons, including 2 Goofy Challenges (two days of racing; half marathon and full marathon) and 3 Dopey Challenges ( 4 days of racing: 5k, 10k, half and full marathon.) In 2019, I competed at Duathlon Nationals in Greenville and qualified for Team USA and will compete in the Netherlands at the Age Group Worlds in Duathlon in 202: thanks to COVID and 2020 being postponed.

Upon retirement for the Court System I received my certification from ISSA for Personal Training. I have worked at Maximum Fitness as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 3 years. I teach Boot Camp, Women’s Strength Training and Spin as well as pop up Run classes to help clients train for a 5k each fall. During the pandemic I started a Facebook Group called “Maximum at Home Workout Challenge” to keep my clients active and strong and to keep them “Sticking to the Plan”.

I did this to help my clients through a difficult time and to let them know I am there for them and am committed to their fitness journey. As a trainer I am their biggest cheerleader and supporter. Their success is my greatest achievement.

I also received my certification from Silver Sneakers for Silver Sneakers Foundation, Circuit and Yoga classes. As part of my continuing education, I also became certified in Marathon Training, Small Group Training, Specific Nutrition and Exercise for Hip Replacement and Exercise for Knee Problems.

I was a member of Dr. Kabari’s Boot Camp for 3 + years as well as a client of his for personal training. I feel that I learned from the best and I am excited to be a part of his team at the Kabari Wellness Institute.

Melanie “Mel” Rhinehart

I’m proof that “Sticking to the Plan” works!  Every fitness journey begins with the first step, regardless of where you start.  My journey to becoming a personal trainer started 5 years ago when I lost over a 100 pounds. I was still not feeling healthy, so I took the next step and started training with Dr. Kabari. My goal was to gain muscle and tone. The result –  I fell completely in love with working out and the support I found in fitness classes. Under Dr. Kabari, I became a Fitness Coach and achieved my professional certification in Personal Training and Weight Management Specialist from the International Sports Sciences Association . I am also a ISSA Certified Kickboxing Instructor.  I love teaching quick-paced, creative classes that cater to all fitness levels, like High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Tabata and Kettlebells. My other classes include Butts-Guts-Guns, Spin, Spin-Sculpt, and Athletic Intervals (geared towards student athletes). I am accepting new personal training clients. Whether you are looking for a complete one-on-one program, guidance building a program or feeling overwhelmed by the equipment choices in the gym, we can work together to create a fitness plan that works for you!
